La limandi
little animals
hey hey hey!
Just as promised to tell you about my little seamstresses of July, and; more precisely; two small stuffed animals. "But why stuffed animals?" you tell me (do not panic. Mom put down the phone, I'm not pregnant!)
1- I have a friend who is pregnant
2- In my work, I happen to teach sewing to children and fluff are the best way to do it.
First, there is the elephant that I was seeing everywhere but in 2D (like elephant has two legs! Already being an elephant that should not be very easy but in addition they are removed from two legs !!). So, as I am never happy, I drew my little elephant by adding the paws he lacked.

So for fabric I asked my friend and I chose into my fabric a light purple and remnants of the pants / bustier / striped skirt (I know I said that I had no more of it but I still have some mini pieces)
For stitching I kinda guessed it but I made a tutorial if you are interested ca (you can find it in my tutorials above). It is super easy to sew in 5-6 steps it is over (like backpack divided by 100). Well you need padding. Mine is hypoallergenic and does not rot (so mamafriend can wash it safely)

I love the fabric
I love the purple / stripe
I love the pillow shape / best friend
I love his little tail (har har)
I love the fact that stripes are hidden.
Well it does not have any eye still because I have not finished. No for real I am not yet decided between the buttons, but the baby could not play with or a small sewing eye (like he is sleeping).

Edit: i sewed the eyes and here's the results.

Move to the giraffe.
I launched into my sewing animals of the savannah and I thought "hey I'll make a giraffe !!".
For the fabric, I use a yellow mustard (not that you will soon see) and a shortened smock fall of that same girlfriend (actually I'm his favorite seamstress !!). So I grabbed the brown fabric and have carved "spots" I stitched on yellow fabric. I have small ears and paws (boring) and tail (har har) and part of the body in plain fabric and another part of the body in the fabric with stains ..
I could have sewn spots on both sides but I decided (yes it's not the lazyness) to leave a plain side.
I love this clumsy looking giraffe with legs swinging in all directions. Well I'm embarrassed because I forgot the horns...Well it doesn't matter because giraffes don't have one side of spots and a plain side either.

Do you want a tuto for the giraffe as well? Let me know on Instagram or on the comments section of the video on Youtube.
Bye
