La limandi

white kimono
I just show you my little winter kimono that did not left me this season.
I initially bought this fabric (guess where!) for a sofa cover (that my cats have ruined) But I didn't like it on my couch so I abandoned the project.
Finally, it stayed in my inventory fabric for nearly six months (and this is not the longest record but still ...).
I had seen lots of tutorials to make a kimono this summer but I don't like sewing lightweight fabrics too much (it's boring, it's slippery, and I do not like to get upset when I'm sewing) then I decided to make one for winter. And that's when I took out the fabric.
I made the hem along after cutting the fabric, but you can add a bias or a ribbon. Then I sewed the two sides together, leaving about fifteen centimeters down the arm and around twenty for the armholes.

Beginners, to your machines! This project does not last more than one afternoon, the longest is to make the hem.
To show you how much I wear it, I set you the dates the pictures.
I often tell of my favorite clothes that I put them as soon as they come out of the machine. This kimono I put it on a radiator to dry.
I wear it like a jacket: with trousers, a skirt or a dress, with or without a belt, sneakers, in heels ... I even put on weekends when I don't feel like dressing up (not sorry no images for this example).
Here! I will make a tutorial on youtube soon. Meanwhile, you can find plenty on youtube.
With that I leave you. Bye!
