Mathusalem coffee and flea market
"Mathusalem is a non-profit organization whose purpose is the social, environmental and craft: it promotes cultural and intergenerational exchange, revalues crafts that are today in distress and contributes to a better waste management.
They proceed with the creation and animation of a flea market and coffee, which offers entertainment and services to the public.
The main activities of the association are:
Waste collection, unwanted furnitures ...
The restoration and creation of objects
Resale of objects and furniture from the collection and restoration
Managing a bar without alcohol

Well that's their official description but I can also tell you that Aimee and Romain are very nice people, Mathusalem it's afternoons (or mornings sometimes) laughter, small (and large) finds that "litter"(well I don't feel like it's the right word) in my apartment (my desk has two drawer cabinets purchased from there and a plank hanging out at home) and a constant desire to return. And, very important thing to me: they are smiling (mostly eh they're not robots either). The store consists of an art gallery that also serves their display windows (which are always beautiful), a bar without alcohol (and that I like) where you can taste teas, syrups, coffees, and juices and (guess what!!!!) a flea market.
There is everything you want (well a garage!) : books, a whole bunch of cute or kitsch trinkets that all would deserve to go home with me, gigantic and tiny furniture, old and newer clothes we want to take (but that will not fit in my closet), linens, toys for children that one wants to buy when she has no kids .... and especially (important to us) sewing equipment (from the needle to fabric and even buttons and sewing patterns).
They always have what I need for specific projects. For example for my wedding dress, I had nothing at home. I needed the veil, buttons and lace and I do not want to put € 500 in a wedding dress (it is not about economics but good sense to me, already I do not put € 30 in a complete outfit so 500 ....). I went to Aimee and I asked her "you got this you got that? "And we delved into the store togethershe sought in his reserve and we found everything I needed (thank you <3).
It really is a beautiful place that animates my city in its own way. In addition there is always something new even though we came three days ago. I invite you to go there if you're in the area (it's Saint Leonard de Noblat , Limousin).
